Jacques Fauroux - Naval designer
As much a sailor as an architect, Jacques Fauroux has had success in the race in both activities. At the age of 19 he won the Moth world championship on a boat he designed himself. He founded his office in the year 1980 and is currently working with the major shipyards. His sailboat designs are known to be fast in light wind conditions (small entrance angle, small wetted surface) probably due to his location near the Mediterranean... His boats often shine in the regattas (Half Tonner, Quarter Tonner and ¾ Tonner... IOR) and Jacques Fauroux has been consulted twice for the America's Cup.
