Fin keel

The A27 is the smallest IRC sailboat offered by Archambault followed by the A31. She was unveiled at the Paris Boat Show in 2011, and sailed for the first time in spring 2012. The idea is to eventually create a one-design class as its glorious elder the Surprise.

The hull is modern, relatively wide and full with at the rear half of the boat a widening of the bridge to enhance the hiking. The deck layout is designed for full crew races but also for the shorthanded sailing, all maneuvers come back near the helm station including in an ingenious "block / foot pegs" for those of mainsail. Inside the space is tight but the A27 offers more than Surprise, accommodations are simple and tasteful, it allows considering short cruises.

The A27 is available with two types of appendages: a fixed and deep keel associated with a deep rudder or a lifting keel associated with two shorter rudders. A carbon mast is available as an option and the choice of engine inboard or outboard is left to the buyer.
