Kelt 5.50
Lifting keel

As the First 18, the Kelt 5.50 is a Micro coastal-cruising oriented. Her design is close to Microkelt, a one-off designed for the first Micro-Cup. Wide, she is relatively fast downwind but suffer a bit upwind. Upwind performance improves when the wind gets stronger. The interior benefits from this volume it can accommodate up to 4 people comfortably. When not in use the kitchen block is stored under the cockpit.

The Kelt 5.50 was one of the most economical Micro, finish and equipment are a little behind compared to other boats of similar size. The Kelt 5.50 was proposed in fin-keel and centerboard version whose appendice more elongated and allows her a small performance gain upwind and flat dry-docking.
