Deep draft

The Symphonie is the result of the first collaboration between Jeanneau and Philippe Briand. She is based on Côte de Beauté, a 3/4 Tonner relatively wise; unlike the ultra-flat-bottom and lightweight prototypes she tolerates the transposition to the cruising purpose and the resulting overload. The powerful sail plan enabling good performances.

The interior is rather classic without aft cabin, but the high freeboard and the long coachroof give a good impression of space and an important headroom including in the fore cabin. The saloon can be converted into double berth, it is overlooked by two removable bunks. The toilet area is spacious for the time.

The Symphonie was released with 3 types of appendages: deep draft (1.85m – 6.1 ft), shoal draft (1.50m – 4.9ft) and centerboard at the end of her career. Well built, relatively fast and seaworthy Symphonie keeps today a high rating on the second-hand market.
