Tonic 23
Fin keel

The specifications of the Tonic 23 could be summarized as: "a large boat in a small hull." Indeed to satisfy those who can’t afford a Fantasia, Jeanneau and Philippe Harlé offer the Tonic 23, almost the same habitability for a boat that is still trailerable. The hull forms betrayed these constraints with its high freeboard and almost vertical planking, but everything is still very acceptable. To further facilitate transportation, the choice of an outboard engine in well allow to reduce the displacement. This well, off the axis, does not interfere with the volume of the aft cabin and does stir up in the rudder.

Despite this bias for the volume and livability, performance remains very honest although centerboard version is a notch below. Evidence of this successful compromise, the Tonic 23 has been sold over 700 copies and has been chosen by the Glénans (first sailing school in France).
