Gibert Marine
Gib'Sea 80 Plus
Fin keel

Both cruising-racing monohull and one-design the Gib'Sea 80 Plus is a Quarter Tonner that was developed from the 1977 Quarter Ton Cup runner-up, “Berret de Paulette”. The basic modification is the boat's width that was brought to 2,5m – 8.2ft, making the boat easier to be transported.

Accommodations are simple, including simple frame berths and a light gimbal-mounted one-place stove... all this is well appropriate for a race boat. The main point is on the deck: a well-equipped, ample cockpit that enables easy maneuvering and quick trimming. The 7/8 rig is modern, with pushing spreaders, thanks to which the rig does not require running backstays. With a small waterline beam and a generous sail surface, the Gib'Sea 80 Plus is fast in all kinds of winds. However some crew weight is always needed hiking.
