First 34.7
Deep draft

No doubt about it: the First 34.7 is a real race-boat with its formidable sail surface and sporty deck layout. Also, more unusually, the accommodations are designed to support performance. Under the prestigious Bruce Farr signature the boat's hulls performance has been augmented by making the appendices thinner. This favors the boat speed but requires some prudence, as thin appendages stall easily.

Accommodations are designed for centering the weight: on its rear the boat has a double berth cabin and open single berth, whereas in the front there is no cabin but a storage / toilet. The saloon is a bit small, and the headroom a bit low for a boat of this size.

Because of this lack of concession the boat has tasted only mediocre success. However its good to know that in good hands the First 34.7 is a real delight for its crew, showing unusual performance for this size of boat, while providing a reasonable accommodation.
