JOD 35 (Jeanneau One Design)

JOD 35, for Jeanneau One Design 35, was presented at the Paris Boat Show in 1990. She is namely an extremely high-performance and sporty one-design sailboat: she is equipped with a thin mast supported by two pairs of spreaders. The standing rigging is Rod type. This sailboat also uses a bulb keel to lower the gravity center and the deck is designed mainly for easy maneuvering. The freeboard is quite high, allowing both crew protection and adequate interior height.

Despite of its simple and plain look, the accommodations turn out seaworthy and suitable even for spending longer times onboard. The weak point in this case is the smallish tank for drinking water.

The JOD 35 was the successor of the Selection 37 as the official race-boat for the “Tour de France à la Voile” between 1992 and 1998. In 1999, she was replaced by Mumm 30.
