Yachting France
Jouët 920
Deep draft

The Jouët 920 is the answer of Yachting France to the Half Tonner trend in the late 70s. So she is a racing boat but is also intended to be as comfortable as any other cruising sailboat of this size. She can not compete against the much lighter prototypes but was often in the lead against other cruiser-racers. Narrow at the front and rear with a high aft-overhang she need to be loaded at the back and does not like chop.

Inside the accommodations give priority to the rear cabin that offers a berth of about 1.90m wide. The fore cabin is simply isolated by a curtain and need to straddle the center seat, which hosts the bar, to access it

This specification corresponds at the model at the launch; from the #144 the Jouët 920 is equipped with a 65cm – 2.1ft longer mast. Surprisingly for a Half Tonner, the Jouët 920 was also proposed with centerboard.
