Dufour 30 Classic
Deep draft

The Dufour 30 Classic is the smallest sailboat of the Classic range that Dufour launched in the late 90s. This range aims to offer simple and economical cruisers. This simplicity is visible as soon as we board: the deck layout could not be plainer. The shipyard also released a "cruising" version including little more powerful winches and furling genoa but also a fridge and a cockpit shower. This simplicity pays when sailing: relatively light she starts at the slightest wind and is pleasant to steer.

Inside the clever open bed gives a nice sense of volume, the backrest has to be shifted to increase the length of the fore berth from 1.65m – 5.4ft to 2m – 6.6ft, but it becomes impossible to sleep in the mess. The aft cabin benefits from good size for a 30 feet boat.

A centerboard version was released to a dozen copies between 1998 and 2000.
