The Wizz is a small double-handed dinghy produced by Bénéteau in the early 80. She is very original, Bénéteau present her indeed as a hybrid between windsurf and dinghy. The boom is replaced by a wishbone and like the windsurfs of the time centerboard when folded remains outside of the hull. The construction is also inspired by windsurfs, it is indeed a block of foam shaped and covered with a fiberglass skin. This brings unsinkablity and stiffness but prevents evacuate the water if it infiltrates.

The hull also is innovative, very wide and "flat" it allows power and planning. These forms prefigure the Open sailboats. Unusually for the time forms were tested and optimized by computer, and the angle of the centerboard is adjustable to compensate for misalignment of the wide hull.
