X-Yachts - Shipyard

X-Yachts is a shipyard founded in 1979 by Niels Jeppesen his brother Lars Jeppesen and Birger Hansen, in Denmark. Now recognized for their exemplary finish, the X-Yachts have started by impressing with their performances. Indeed, the X-79, the first X-Yacths, won the Sjælland Rundt against nearly 2,100 other sailboats. The second model, X-102, rules the Three-Quarter Ton Cup in 1981 and 1982 and its “sport” version, called X-3/4 Ton, in 1985, 1987, 1988 and 1989 Victories do not stop with the end of the IOR, indeed IMX range made a mark in IMS and IRC. The X-79 and X-99 are widely distributed and ran as One-design, the X-99 being moreover recognized by ISAF.

Today the range of the shipyard is divided into three categories, Xc, fast cruising boats, Xp, cruising racing sailboats and the X-35 and X-41, one-designs.
